INSTRUCTOR, M.S. IN LAW ENFORCEMENT & PUBLIC SAFETY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Christopher McQuillin, JD has worked as both a deputy prosecuting attorney and a private practice attorney, focusing on criminal defense and trial work. He later became employed with the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department, where he held positions as the Supervisor of the Drug Unit and the Prosecutor Initiative, Director of the Lake County Sheriff’s Work Release Program and as Assistant Jail Administrator for the Lake County Jail. Mr. McQuillin was a certified instructor with the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, presenting seminars within the Sheriff’s Department on the topics of management skills, sexual harassment, stress, and courtroom testimony for law enforcement officers. He received numerous commendations from the Sheriff recognizing his work performance in administration, training, and compliance, and continues to actively research areas of compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the economics of the privatization movement of various law enforcement functions.

Mr. McQuillen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wabash College, and a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law.
