Thanks for Submitting Your Enrollment Agreement

NOW IT’S TIME TO CLAIM YOUR USDONE ACCOUNT & EMAIL

Let’s Get Your Student Account Activated

Thanks for submitting your Enrollment Agreement. Now it’s time to claim your USDOne account, which is the key that unlocks your access to university services and resources.

Please remember to accept your offer of admission by paying your enrollment deposit and/or confirming your enrollment before you can claim your USDOne account.

You will not be able to use your personal email for any university communications or to access any university services. Please claim your USDOne account right away.

Follow these Steps:

  • Go to USDOne.sandiego.edu.
  • Select “Claim Account”.
  • Enter your USD ID (this was included in the email we sent you about your enrollment agreement).
  • Enter the email address you have provided to USD.
  • Enter your date of birth.
  • It should auto-assign you a username based on your first and last name.
  • Follow the prompts to create your password and security questions. Your username will become your @sandiego.edu email address.
  • Keep your username and password in a safe place!
  • Once you have successfully claimed your email, please send a quick email to your enrollment advisor with an update using your new email address.

It can take 24-48 hours for your new account to show up in our records. Once it does, we will begin using your student email address for all communication with you – including the remaining steps of your new student onboarding.

In fact, the University will only contact you at your official @sandiego.edu email, so please check this account daily. You can set your student email to forward to your personal account if that makes checking email more convenient.

Experiencing an Error?

“User Not Found”

There are a few reasons for this error. You could have entered the incorrect USD ID number or could have entered a different personal email that we have on file. Alternatively, it may be related to how you’re setting up the password/security questions – see the dropdown below. After trying these options, please take a screenshot/picture of the error message and email it to your enrollment advisor for further assistance.

Error During Password/Security Question Set-up

There are some background system requirements to ensure account safety.

In your password, you are not able to use “pass”, “word”, “password”, your first name, your last name, some other common dictionary words, or any of your previous 24 passwords. If you’ve tried some passwords and they are not accepted, we suggest replacing some letters with symbols such as “@” instead of “a”, “!” instead of “i”, or “$” instead of “s”.

In your security questions, we highly suggest avoiding using any question that involves the word “childhood”; students have reported issues when using questions with that word. Additionally, we recommend keeping your answer to the security questions as brief as possible with a minimal number of words.

If you try these suggestions and still are encountering issues, please take a screenshot of the error message and email it to your enrollment advisor.

HTTP Error

If you get this error, we would recommend that you try a new internet browser such as FireFox or Chrome. If it does not work on the new browser, we recommend contacting the ITS (Information Technology Services) Help Desk for assistance. Please contact them using the information below:

If you have any problems claiming your USDOne account, please take a screenshot of the error message, and email it to your enrollment advisor. Please include any details you can remember, and the step you completed prior to the error. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your advisor for assistance and troubleshooting.
