Meet Mahtaub Golab
Driven by a desire to make a difference, Mahtaub embarked on a quest to find a program that aligned with her values and aspirations. Her journey led her to the Master of Science in Engineering, Sustainability, and Health (MESH) program at the University of San Diego, where interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative problem-solving are at the forefront.
Within my graduate program of MESH, we have studied the interdisciplinary ways systems within our built environment can impact frameworks of sustainability. We have studied courses on food systems, public health within the built environment, waste management, water and sustainable energy, to name a few. The ways these systems are connected to one another and the justices and injustices that are rooted in each impact our ability to build a sustainable future.
My capstone project works to better understand the ways educational organizers within Palestine build youth-based community, support their students’ educational capacity and resource needs, address interdisciplinary systems and work to develop sustainable futures for their youth.

- Receive quarterly progress reports
- You will be invited to an annual face-to-face meeting with other club members and to the student’s graduation.

How to Join The Club
How To become a member of of the Women Imagine the Future Sponsorship Club all you need to do is contribute $1,000 USD a year.
How Your Donations Will Be Used:
100% of your contributions go to the student. The staff does not keep a cent. They provide essential support to MESH students, enabling them to pursue their academic and career goals and co-create solutions for our future. Here’s how your donations could be utilized:
- Tuition Assistance: Your donation will help cover tuition costs for MESH students, ensuring that they have access to quality education and academic resources.
- Technology and Equipment: Enable access to the MESH Program for students. Includes access to internet, computer equipment,etc.
- Professional Development: Your support will enable students to participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences related to sustainability, engineering, and health.
- Child Care Services: For students with children, your donations will provide assistance with child care expenses, allowing them to balance their academic pursuits with family responsibilities.
- Emergency Funds: Your donations will contribute to emergency funds that provide financial assistance to students facing unexpected challenges or hardships.
