M.S. in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership

The Master of Science in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership (MS-CSOL or CSOL) program launched in Spring 2016 and today there are over 300 alumni who have earned their CSOL degree.
This part-time online master’s degree program supports professionals who are working in a wide range of cybersecurity roles to develop the ability to lead organizations in cybersecurity operations and effectively communicate mission-critical cybersecurity needs and priorities.

Lynn H. Hoffman said she gained “a wealth of information” not only from the professors and the cutting-edge curriculum, but also from interacting with fellow students using USD’s robust online educational portal. Earning her master’s degree in cybersecurity at the University of San Diego set Lynn H. Hoffman on a course to start her own San Diego-based cybersecurity company — Cibernetika.
The MS-CSOL program at USD provided an advanced, comprehensive framework for all aspects of cybersecurity. This program has benefited me in my current career as well as set me up for success in future cybersecurity endeavors. This is a very good foundation class for individuals that want to move from individual contributors to a management roles.
I love that each course is very focused and that we only take one class at a time, for seven weeks, so that we can really concentrate on that one topic and gain a strong foundational knowledge. Also, the professors do an awesome job with helping us to navigate the online discussions and the general assignments are so applicable and useful.
