As a recent alumni of the program, I feel it is my duty to help contribute back to the students who will then help grow our San Diego IS community.
What advice do you have for anyone interested in advancing their career in health care informatics?
It is growing! And growing fast. It is a field where it may be overwhelming at first but once you get into it, it is nothing but fun and exciting to be in the midst of innovation.
In your view, what is unique and exciting about USD’s MS-HCI program? How is the advisory board helping to shape the future of the program to best meet the goals of both the students and their potential employers?
It is great to see the students who graduate from USD’s program become analysts and IS leaders direct in our community. The board will help not only ensure MS-HCI program is relevant but serves to ensure our students are well-suited once entering the workforce.
