Ellen Fleischman is an accomplished health care leader with extensive experience in nursing, dietetics, and performance improvement. She most recently served as Senior Director of Patient Care at Scripps Mercy Hospitals, following leadership roles at Scripps Green Hospital and Sharp HealthCare. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, she specializes in driving quality and operational excellence. Ellen holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of San Diego, an MSN from San Diego State University, and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. She has also taught graduate-level courses at the University of San Diego.

What motivated your interest in serving on the advisory board for the MSN-NL program? What are you hoping to contribute?
I believe I can contribute to the program as a previous Adjunct Professor and former PhD student, as I have a good understanding of the interests of MSN students.
What advice do you have for anyone interested in advancing their nursing career?
Make time for ongoing professional education and lifelong learning.
