Glevys Rondon worked for over two decades as director and founder at the Latin American Mining Monitoring Programme (LAMMP), an international organization based in London aiming to empower and improve the lives of rural and indigenous women affected by irresponsible mining practices in rural Latin America.

She is an independent researcher and consultant with expertise in rights, gender and corporate accountability. Particularly in relation to land and natural resources. Rondon has a number of publications including: Canadian Mining in Latin America: Corporate Social Responsibility and Women’s Testimonies and Eventually the Mine Will Come: Women Anti-mining Activists’ Everyday Resilience in Opposing Resource Extraction in the Andes
