After completing his bachelor’s degree in early 2001 at the age of 21, Ramon Lecanda dedicated himself entirely to sales and marketing of capital assets within the Mexican energy sector. Graduating with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Ramon went on to pursue an MBA. In 2005, he was accepted into and completed the International MBA Program at the Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración in Barcelona, Spain, receiving recognition for the best MBA thesis project and business plan. Over the years, he complemented his education with several formal programs, including a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Caterpillar, consultative sales training, effective negotiation training, and various technical trainings, such as effective management skills training from JW Reddin Consulting, among others.

With over 20 years of strong performance backed by a proven track record of positive results, Ramon Lecanda has earned the respect of peers, colleagues, and mentors, supporting his personal and professional growth. Starting as a junior sales representative in 2001, he gradually took on more responsibility, eventually becoming a junior partner of Enertrade in 2012, and later advancing to senior partner and executive commercial director. Enertrade, a well-established Mexican company founded in 1982, values its highly skilled team of specialized engineers, focused on business development, sales, marketing, and local networking. The company’s leadership is dedicated to being opinion leaders in the sector and strives to bring best-in-class technology solutions to the Mexican energy industry.

Ramon Lecanda’s experience includes significant participation in strategic sales teams that, collectively, achieved over $8 billion USD in sales over the past 15 years. He gained valuable insights and growth by collaborating with high-level executives from leading sector companies such as Solar Turbines, Azota, Cyosis, and Fisterra Blackstone. His roles involved leading strategic initiatives, supporting sales of new assets and long-term service agreements, and developing project investment business plans for private equity, among other responsibilities. More recently, he has engaged in environmental water technology and fertilizer technology solutions, focusing on circular economy initiatives and implementing green solutions for sustainable, long-term agro-industrial processes.
