How to Select the Right AI Bootcamp

There are many artificial intelligence bootcamp options, so finding the right one may seem overwhelming. Here are some helpful tips to get started:

  • Do your research. Read reviews and see what others have said about certain courses or programs.
  • Talk to people in the field. Reach out to colleagues or LinkedIn connections in AI and see what bootcamps they recommend. Talent agents or recruiters may also offer some insight.
  • Read job postings. Look at top job sites — LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed, etc. — and see if any of the job postings require specific skills or knowledge offered by bootcamps.
  • Consider the program’s learning style and time commitment. Many bootcamps offer part-time, full-time, in-person or virtual options. Decide which factors are most important to you.

How long does an AI bootcamp take to complete?

It depends on the specific program and also whether it’s part-time or full-time. Some may take 4-6 weeks while others may span 6 months or longer.

What is the average cost of an AI bootcamp?

The cost will depend on the program, but many of the bootcamps could run as high as $15,000 or more. Some courses, however, may be $1,000 to $2,000. Many have payment plans or financial aid options and some even offer incentives or discounts for paying in full.

What is the time commitment for an AI bootcamp?

Part-time programs allow for more flexibility but often take longer. Some part-time programs may only require 5-10 hours a week, while others may require at least a few hours per day. Full-time programs are akin to a full-time job (roughly 40 hours per week or more).

Is a bootcamp enough to help my artificial intelligence career?

In general, AI-related certifications, bootcamps and advanced degrees will always help your career. You’ll gain knowledge and experience from industry experts, and a bootcamp can help you stand out from other applicants. You’ll also have the ability to network with other people in your program.

I’m considering a master’s degree program. Will a bootcamp help me?

An artificial intelligence bootcamp can be beneficial to students who are interested in a master’s degree in artificial intelligence by prepping them for a rigorous curriculum.
