Course Overview

This course introduces the foundational underpinnings of advanced professional nursing practice. It discusses the acquisition and use of nursing knowledge. It also presents an overview of person-centered care, population health, quality improvement, safety, and informatics. The concepts of clinical judgment, compassionate care, ethics, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and social determinants of health are emphasized.
