MS in Cyber Security Engineering Academic Director Dr. Haydar Majeed will facilitate this session on how to best to prepare your resume for cyber positions.
Haydar Majeed is an internationally recognized cybersecurity and emerging technologies expert with over 15 years of experience driving innovation in Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence. As an award-winning intelligence contractor for the U.S. military, professor Majeed leveraged his technical acumen to support critical overseas missions. He received commendations at the highest levels for his contributions at an early age. Transitioning to the private sector, Haydar co-founded several venture-backed technology startups, earning multiple successful exits. He has a proven track record for identifying disruptive ideas and executing commercialization strategies.
Professor Majeed was recently awarded his PhD in Computer Science while concurrently serving as Chief Technology Officer for a high-growth startup and advises several successful startups operating in Cybersecurity, AI, and Blockchain industries. He holds global certifications, including Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Lead Auditor (ISO/IEC).
Professor Majeed speaks regularly at global conferences and is considered a thought leader in leveraging emerging technologies to fortify defenses against increasingly sophisticated threats. With his rare blend of cybersecurity expertise, industry certifications, and entrepreneurial, and academic experiences, he is uniquely positioned to drive innovation at the frontier of cybersecurity in academia.
