Adolfo Gonzales is San Diego County’s Chief Probation Officer. Chief Gonzales’s law enforcement career began in 1978 and he has served as the Assistant Chief of Police for the San Diego Police Department, the Chief of Police for the City of National City, and most recently the Chief Investigator for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. Chief Gonzales is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA, the Senior Management Institute for Police at Boston University. He earned his Doctorate degree in Leadership Science from the University of San Diego in 1996, has taught as an adjunct faculty member at several universities throughout San Diego and has lectured to international and national law enforcement officials.
