Alfred is a seasoned Database Administrator and Manager. He started his career designing complex database-centric business solutions right after completing his Master’s studies internship. With three decades of wide-ranging real-world experience in businesses ranging from Manufacturing, Computer Software, Marketing Intelligence, Health Care and Investment industries, Alfred is excited to share his knowledge.
Alfred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science degree in Computer Applications. In addition to teaching, Alfred currently holds an Application and Database Support and Operations supervisor position at Brandes Investment Partners where his responsibilities include the smooth running of all databases and support of investment professionals.
Alfred taught HCIN-620 Machine Learning Applications for Health Care in Spring ’24. He has previously assisted Prof. Juhi Israni in the HCIN-543 Database Design and Knowledge Management course and Dr. Barbara Berkovich in the HCIN-547 Health Care Analytics course
