Brian Goldberg, MA
Brian Goldberg served as a proud member of the San Diego Police Department for over three decades before his retirement in December of 2019. He most recently served as the Captain of Eastern Division where he was in charge of 125 sworn and non-sworn employees. Some of his past assignments include Acting Patrol Chief, Robbery, Internal Affairs, Vice Operations Unit, The Street Gang Unit, Operational Support and the Watch Commander’s Office. Some of his collateral duties have included the Chief’s Community Advisory Board, Field Training Officer and Police Officer’s Legal Representative.
With more than twenty-five years of teaching experience at the college and police academy levels, Captain Goldberg has a passion for teaching. He has developed curriculums for both graduate and undergraduate programs. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City State University (1987) and a master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix (1998).
