Christian A. Vaca is an experienced cybersecurity professional and educator with over 20 years of expertise in both the Department of Defense and civilian sectors. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego and Point Loma Nazarene University, he brings a practical, hands-on approach to teaching undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity, Networking, and Cloud Computing. Christian integrates real-world lab experiences, including VPN setup, vulnerability scanning, and security monitoring, to prepare students for today’s IT challenges.
Beyond the classroom, Christian currently serves as an Infosec Administrator, where he implements and manages network security solutions, performs vulnerability assessments, and leads security awareness initiatives. He holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Engineering from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Technology with an emphasis in Cybersecurity from Point Loma Nazarene University.
