Christine Nibbelink is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science at the University of San Diego. She currently teaches in the Health Care Informatics and Doctor of Philosophy programs at USD.
Christine uses qualitative research methods to explore factors nurses describe as influential to their decision-making during high-stakes and time-limited patient care situations. Her research includes a focus on interdisciplinary communication and nurse decision-making when using clinical decision-support tools. Ultimately, she seeks to improve patient care outcomes using the results of her research to inform clinical decision support systems within the electronic health record.
