Christopher Marquis has over a decade of experience as an environmental scientist working at the California Environmental Protection Agency. He has expertise in watershed restoration, strategic stormwater planning and groundwater recharge, fish-friendly farming and agroecology, post-wildfire watershed rehabilitation, wetland delineation, and water quality monitoring. Christopher has a passion for environmental justice and has successfully managed numerous grant funded restoration projects that prioritize benefitting underserved communities and compromised landscapes.
Christopher holds two Bachelors of Science in Environmental Management Watershed Hydrology and Soil Science from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Engineering, Sustainability and Health from the University of San Diego. His graduate research focused on water quality of the Tijuana River Watershed and addressing the complex socio-political-economic problems that surround the United States-Mexico borderlands.
