Gary Morrison, MA

Gary Morrison is the recently retired police chief for the City of Carlsbad. He served in that capacity for the five years. Prior to being appointed to chief of police, he served with the Long Beach Police Department for 23 years rising through the ranks from police officer to police commander.

Gary has a Master’s Degree from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University at Long Beach. Additionally, he is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and West Point Leadership at the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Since retirement Gary has advised on several non-profit boards including the North County Food Bank and the Carlsbad Education Foundation.
