Professor of Practice and Program Director: MS in Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship
Jeff has over 35 years of executive management, marketing and engineering experience primarily in Software and Semiconductors. He has been involved in 14 startup ventures and served on 5 boards. Jeff is currently a Professor of Practice and the Program Director for the MS in Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship. He most recently spent time as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, at USD’s School of Business, and a Professor of Practice for the School of Business.
Jeff has been a CEO, VP of Marketing, General Manager, VP of Business Development and started his career as a Design Engineer. He has worked for Texas Instruments, Rockwell International and co-founded startups including Brooktree Corp. and Syntricity. His participation in industry-wide innovations includes being among the world’s first 2000 IC Design Engineers designing microprocessors and bringing early “Fabless” semiconductor and “SaaS” companies to market.
Jeff’s experience includes raising angel and venture capital, angel investing, initial public offering, over seven mergers and acquisitions, consulting, recruiting over 100 professionals and precedent-setting IP litigation. He earned a BSEE from Stony Brook University and an Executive MBA from UC San Diego.
