Jon Colon’s career as an engineer has exposed him to the various challenges of working in diverse engineering environments. Jon has gained expertise in collaboration, project management, process improvement, value engineering, lean manufacturing, and continuous quality improvement.
Throughout his career, Jon has had the opportunity to contribute to projects across multiple engineering fields, including environmental compliance, product qualification, infrastructure design and construction, aerospace, automotive, renewable energies, wastewater, and potable water engineering.
With a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from California State Polytechnic University Pomona and a Master of Science in Engineering for Sustainability and Health from the University of San Diego, Jon has developed a broad skill set with a sustainable focus.
Jon’s work includes collaborations with organizations like SpaceX, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Ford, Solar Turbines, and many others.
Jon currently holds an Engineer in Training Certification from the California Professional Engineers and Land Surveying Board and is on track to obtain a Professional Engineering License. Additionally, he is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the American Water Resources Association (AWRA), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Society of Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE).
