Jonni Redick, MS

Retired Assistant Chief Jonni Redick was with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for 29 years, an organization with more than 11,000 employees. She retired as an Assistant Chief and worked in both the Bay Area, covering all nine counties, and within the Sacramento region where she oversaw eight CHP commands including the 3rd largest communications center in the state which handles over one million 911 calls annually.

Over her career, she has worked throughout California to include Ontario, Ventura, Hayward, Stockton, San Jose, Contra Costa and Sacramento, and has held all ranks. She was the first female captain of the Contra Costa CHP Area in Martinez CA where she worked with 18 allied agencies to collectively provide service to an 802 square-mile region. Administratively, she has overseen statewide grants, community outreach, recruitment, and nationally-recognized programs. She is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Human and Civil Rights Committee, past President of the NOBLE Central Valley California Chapter, and member of the American Association of University of Women. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Management, a Master’s of Science in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego, and is a graduate of POST Command College.
