Rebecca Lundeen
Dr. Rebecca Lundeen is a teacher turned educational psychologist passionately exploring how we learn and how to influence motivation and performance. She provides learning design, research and program evaluation, and consulting for clients in the nonprofit, government, academic and corporate sectors helping children, families, and workforces solve learning problems.
As an advocate for the next generation of online learning, Dr. Lundeen has spearheaded global learning design teams to produce innovative multimedia course development and provided faculty coaching for some of the best universities. As a learning designer, she enjoys applying evidence-based cognitive science principles to create efficient, effective and enjoyable learning products and experiences. In her role as an online instructor, she is interested in promoting students’ academic self-regulation and facilitating an inclusive learning community of care.
Dr. Lundeen received her dual BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern California as a first-generation college student, her Master’s in Educational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, and her doctorate in Educational Psychology from the USC Rossier School of Education where her research focused on learning science and motivation in learning design and program evaluation. She also holds multiple-subject teaching and school psychology credentials from the California Department of Education and has spent over a decade teaching, training, designing and evaluating for learning education agencies throughout Southern California.
