About
Rick has over 15 years of experience in data science. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from UCSB and his Master’s in Business Analytics from National University. He also has certificates in Predictive Analytics from UCI. He’s the Principal Data Architect for Tri-City Medical Center. He manages all of the data and analytics for the hospital and oversees the data submissions to local, state, and federal agencies. His team is responsible for reviewing and improving the data models used in Finance and Clinical Staffing. He has been in healthcare for over 7 years. Before his time at the hospital, he was in e-commerce, serving as the product manager for the e-commerce site for Linens-N-Things. Using predictive modeling, he analyzed the data from marketing campaigns and customer-buying patterns to select product placements and ad space.
