Ryan Sheehy, MBA

Lt. Col. Sheehy completed initial officer training at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia and Flight Training in Pensacola, Florida.  He was winged a Naval Aviator in 1998, and subsequently deployed twice with WestPac Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU). In between deployments Lt. Col. Sheehy was selected to be a student at the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course held at Marine Aviation Weapons and Training School-One (MAWTS-1) in Yuma, AZ.  Following his successful completion of the school and his follow-on deployment, Lt. Col. Sheehy was selected to return to MAWTS-1 as an instructor. Following his MAWTS-1 tour, he was selected to attend the Brazilian Command and Staff School as a Marine Exchange Student. While in Brazil he earned his Master’s of Naval Science from the Brazilian Naval Warfare School, and an MBA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Following his return to San Diego, he deployed twice more to the Middle East before being selected as MV-22 squadron commanding officer. Lt. Col. Sheehy’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal with numeral 6, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 2 Gold Stars and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 Gold Stars.

After his retirement from the USMC, Lt. Col. Sheehy founded Fleet Development, a company focused on solving the issue of renewable energy access for underserved Americans by installing solar on the rooftops of affordable housing properties.
