Associate Professor, Program Coordinator for the MSN, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Program

Sheree Scott, PhD, RN, AGCNS-BC, CMSRN is an Associate Professor at the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science: Beyster Institute for Nursing Research. Dr. Scott serves as the Program Coordinator and Placement Coordinator for the Clinical Nurse Specialist Program and teaches in the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Masters Entry Program in Nursing, Doctor of Philosophy, and Executive Nurse Leader programs.

Dr. Scott earned her BSN at the University of Arizona and her MSN at the University of San Diego. She is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 20 years of experience in health care ranging from the most remote hospitals to large complex medical centers. In 2019, she retired from the United States Navy Nurse Corps after 24 years of honorable service.

The focus of her research includes patient preference, the patient experience, and ECMO education in CNS curriculum.

She serves as Secretary for the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the Association of California Nurse Leaders, the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, and the Navy Nurse Corps Association.
