Why USD?
I chose to teach in USD’s online program because its commitments align with my work in inclusive education and Disability Studies in Education. The program prepares educators to challenge deficit-based practices, design accessible learning environments, and center marginalized student perspectives. Teaching online allows me to support a diverse group of practicing educators who can apply new frameworks immediately. I value USD’s focus on high-quality online instruction, reflective practice, and justice-centered teacher preparation, and I am glad to contribute to that mission.
