Tory Kornblum, MA
Tory Kornblum joined the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff in 2002. During her career, she worked a variety of assignments in Custody, Patrol, Training, Investigations, Recruiting and Emergency Services. She also held ancillary assignments as a Field Training Officer and Defensive Tactics/Electronic Weapons instructor. Her favorite assignments included the Field Training Program Coordinator and the Contra Costa Sheriff Basic Academy Director. She retired as a Captain in 2022 as the Emergency Services Division and Coroner’s Division Commander.
After her retirement, Tory fulfilled a long-time dream of moving to central Oregon, where she took a position with the Sunriver Police Department.
Tory’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University – Bloomington and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Boston University. Tory also attended the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and the California POST Command College. She is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Class 280.
