Yvette Latunde, EdD

Academic Director and Chair of the Department of Learning and Teaching

Doctor Yvette Latunde is the Academic Program Director for the Master of Education Online program at the University of San Diego. She brings commitment to academic excellence, equity, and student success to the online learning community.

Doctor Latunde holds an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and is a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University (CAU), a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), where she earned a Master of Education in Special Education along with her teaching credential. Her graduate training at CAU deeply shaped her commitment to culturally responsive practice, educational access, and excellence. Doctor Latunde has had the privilege of serving as Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Learning and Teaching at the University of San Diego, where she provides strategic and academic leadership across multiple graduate programs, including two master’s degrees, two teacher credential programs, and a doctoral program.

In this role, she oversees faculty development, curriculum innovation, accreditation, student success initiatives, as well as program operations, budgeting, and strategic growth.
