Amit Kakkad is a faculty member at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business and is a strategic advisor to the school’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Catalyzer. Dr. Kakkad teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in operations management and management science and has previously taught courses in simulation, statistics and operations management at other institutes such as the London School of Economics.
Dr. Kakkad has considerable corporate and startup experience in the United States, United Kingdom and India in industries ranging from oil and gas to chemical production, infrastructure, hospitality and entertainment logistics, telecommunications, financial services and consulting. He frequently engages with industry for research and consulting and is actively involved in San Diego’s entrepreneurial and impact ecosystems. Previously, Dr. Kakkad has served on the boards of three not-for-profit organizations in Europe and is personally passionate about building and supporting an ecosystem for social enterprises.
