Cindy DeMarco, EdD

Cindy DeMarco, EdD is a Senior Consultant at ADAPTOVATE, a global consulting firm that helps organizations transform and innovate in the face of rapid change. In her current role, she is partnering with clients to help them extend their corporate onsite learning into mobile global learning and explore business strategies on AI use and governance in learning and development. Cindy has a blended background in higher education leadership and teaching, corporate learning and development, and organizational design and strategy.

Prior to joining ADAPTOVATE, Cindy worked for Augment Solutions and Hands On IT, Insperity, United States University, Argosy University, National University and The Federal Reserve Bank. She also has an extensive background in consulting and collaborating with a wide range of organizations (e.g., Microsoft, Habitat for Humanity, Yahoo!, Aegis, Saul Ewing).

Cindy’s early career focused heavily on the development of andragogy elearning strategies and models to design effective and engaging learning experiences. Working closely with organizational leaders her career has evolved to a focus on bringing together people, learning and systems for optimal culture and performance.

Cindy has a Doctorate of Education in Human Resource Development and Organizational Change from George Washington University and a master’s and bachelor’s from Towson University in Maryland. Cindy has earned organizational development and business certifications (FMI executive coaching, LeadRight, AMA – Accounting & Finance for Leaders). Cindy has recently completed Ethics in the Age of Generative AI, the Post-Merger Integration Module (15 Hours) – Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA), and Hogan HBRI certified. Cindy lives in San Diego, California with her husband, Dr. Robert DeMarco, two dogs and two cats. Together they have three children Dylan 18, Emma 24 and Jakob 27.
