Angela Zautcke is currently pursuing a PhD in Theology and an MA in Classics at the University of Notre Dame. Her area of focus in Theology is Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity with a specialization in the New Testament. Angela studies the New Testament within the broader context of Second Temple Judaism and the Greco-Roman world. Her approach to studying the Bible involves attention to the historical, literary, and theological aspects of the text. Before coming to Notre Dame, Angela earned an MTS degree from the Franciscan School of Theology. During her studies at FST she learned how the Franciscan tradition enhances study of the Bible as a resource for personal and communal spiritual life, and she is glad to discuss this further in MTS 530.
