Academic Director: MS in Engineering Management and Leadership
Dr. G.B. Singh is the Vice President of Construction Industries at Caterpillar. He is responsible for Managed Accounts across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia and Latin America. His team is focused on solving customer challenges with solutions leveraging construction products, services, digital, technology, financing and more.
He previously served as the Director of Business Management at Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar subsidiary. In his prior role at Solar Turbines, he was responsible for spearheading new project execution and managing a global team. He also served as the Director of Engineering Operations and managed Solar’s customer services business in the Asia Pacific region while stationed in Singapore.
His professional focus includes research interests in hybrid power systems, particularly leveraging distributed energy sources such as gas turbines, solar, wind, and battery storage. Dr. Singh is a recognized contributor to the field, with published articles in engineering journals, presentations at numerous technical conferences, and active participation in several funded grants. Dr. Singh currently resides in San Diego with his family.
