Ebrahim K. Tarshizi, PhD, MBA — Academic DirectorDr. Tarshizi oversees two online graduate programs at USD: the Master of Science in Applied Data Science and the Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence. He also serves as co-director of the Center for Digital Civil Society within USD’s Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering. He brings experience as a senior technical adviser with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (CDC NIOSH) and as a visiting scholar at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. His research focuses on AI ethics, text and web mining and data-driven occupational safety. |
