Master of Science in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership

In addition to financial aid, the University of San Diego and other organizations provide additional financial support for students to further their education. Below is a partial list of scholarships that are available to our students

Fall 2023 CSOL Scholarship

We’ll be accepting applications for Fall enrollment through August 1st, but why wait? Submit your application by July 3rd and you’ll qualify for $3,000, the value of your first course.

All Fall applicants who are submitted by July 3rd and complete the requirements listed below will qualify for the $3,000.

  • Be one of the first 8 applicants accepted for Fall 2023 term by July 3rd, 2023
  • Application must be fully completed and submitted by July 3rd. Your enrollment advisor will work with you to have all required components of your application completed.
  • Submit a scholarship essay that includes why you feel you deserve this scholarship, your leadership background, how you intend to use this degree moving forward, and what you will bring to the program.
  • Scholarship essay must be well-written with no grammar or spelling errors.
  • Undergraduate GPA cannot be below 3.0.
  • You must remain actively enrolled and successfully complete their first semester.

ICS Foundation Grants

Students enrolling in the University of San Diego’s Master of Science in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership degree program are encouraged to apply for a number of scholarships granted by the ICS Foundation to those entering the field, including the graduate scholarship and the women’s scholarship, which awards a full year of tuition up to $40,000.

SWSIS Program Scholarship

The SWSIS program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 for women studying for their Bachelors and Masters degrees in fields relating to information security.

Scholarships are offered to women entering the field of cyber security in an effort to close the growing gender gap in the field.

Veteran Programs

Yellow ribbon schools, such as the University of San Diego, offer support to Veterans through yearly scholarship money that is then matched dollar for dollar by the VA. At USD, that equals $14,896 per year.

The Center for Cyber Safety and Education offers several scholarships to students in the field of cyber security, including:

  • Women’s Scholarships
  • Raytheon’s Women Cyber Security Scholarship

The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship

Supporting women in technology, the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship is offered by Google. This scholarship awards $10,000 to female undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate strong academic and leadership qualities.
